I have tried to uninstall CAM UnZip but all I get is a message that the unins000.dat file is missing. Is there a freeware program that could possibly help me to uninstall it?

Try to install again the software in order to recover the missing file and then click on the uninstaller. Also, if you use Windows XP or bellow you can go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. In the Currently installed programs box, click on the CAM UnZip program and then click Remove. If you have Windows Vista or above you need to go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Select the CAM UnZip application and click on Uninstall.
As a freeware program to uninstall the application you can try Revo Uninstaller. Even if it can't uninstall the application normally, it will force it to uninstall by wiping out all traces of its presence from the system.
After that, try running AdwCleaner to make sure that there are no leftover rogue registry keys or toolbars in your system.
